Nickelodeon launches Pinky Malinky’s animated series

We saw Pinky Malinky, the ‘wiener’ earlier in a Cartoon Network short and now he will return on Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon has announced that 20 episodes will be launched and will have latest original animated content.

Pinky Malinky will be joining Nick’s new creator-driven agenda and will show the everyday life of Pinky Malinky and his two best friends. Pinky is a positive hotdog living in a human world and will be seen navigating school and life with a unique perspective. Using the tropes of a mockumentary and reality show format, Pinky and his friends will talk directly to the camera and the audience to share their absurd and silly take on real life.

Kids will be able to relate with Pinky Malinky as it will show what problems he faces in school and how he pushes himself from being a ‘wiener’ to a ‘winner’. They will enjoy the unique point of view that Pinky has to offer and also his unusual perspective on the challenges.

The series has been co-created and co-executive produced by Chris Garbutt and Rikke Asbjoern and executive produced by Scott Kreamer. It will be produced at Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank and is scheduled to launch in 2016.
