Netflix announces anthology series, ‘Love, Death and Robots’

Netflix announced an animated anthology series, Love, Death and Robots. The series will be presented by director David Fincher (Fight Club, Gone Girl) and Tim Miller (Deadpool).

The series comprises of short stories ranging from science fiction, fantasy, horror, and comedy genres. Featuring talent from around the globe, the animated series will have 18 stories for the viewers.

Love, Death & Robots is my dream project, it combines my love of animation and amazing stories. Midnight movies, comics, books, and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part. I’m so f—ing excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation,” Miller said in a statement.

The episodes will range from five to 15 minutes in length and is aimed at an adult audience. They showcase a wide range of animation styles, from traditional 2D animation to photo-real 3D CGI. Executive produced by Fincher, Miller, Jennifer Miller and Josh Donen, Love, Death and Robots brings together animation creators from around the globe and the stories are guaranteed to deliver a unique and visceral viewing experience.

The release date of the anthology is yet to be announced.
