This summer the squeaky, adorable and mischievous characters that stole our hearts in the ‘Despicable Me’ franchise will be painting the town yellow… literally! 10 July is the date set by Universal Pictures to set free the Minions army across screens worldwide.
The makers released a fresh trailer late last evening on the official Facebook page of the movie, which kind of merges the first two trailers which were released earlier. In the newest offering the bumbling characters of Kevin, Bob and Stuart are seen working for the most famous villain of Villain Con – Scarlet Overkill (Sandra Bullock), who orders them to steal the royal crown of the Queen of England.
Thus, starts their journey from San Francisco to the Great Britain and the three adorable nincompoops are seen getting their ‘asses’ handed to them by royalty in her caravan; but eventually manage to grab hold of the crown.
In the meanwhile, Gru is recruited by an organisation to stop Scarlet Overkill, a super-villain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, has hatched a plot to take over the world. Now how Gru deals with the situation and how he meets our yellow friends is what you will have to catch in theatres.
