Marvel begin promotions for ‘Daredevil’ season three in an oblique fashion

Even while we are still getting to grips with the new season of Iron Fist, Marvel has already moved on to promoting it’s next show Daredevil with a cryptic message. The eight-second clip features a missing poster nailed to a telephone poll with Matt Murdock’s picture and name inked on it, indicating that the whereabouts of the devil of Hell’s Kitchen is still unknown.

It’s been almost two years since his second season premiered, but we last saw the Daredevil in the crossover series The Defenders in fall 2017 that ended with Murdock and Elektra trapped in the basement of The Hand’s Midland Circle headquarters that collapsed while the rest of the Defenders – Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, all escaped the disaster unscathed. However, though initially presumed dead, the attorney-turned-vigilante could be seen in a bruised state and taken care by a nun in an unknown place.

So he’s obviously not dead, and the vision was nothing but a teaser to a third outing of Netflix’s original star. Now with the new clip emerging, we can expect the new season very soon. In fact, it’s rumored that Daredevil season three would premier in October. But the missing poster suggests it’s not all gas and gaiters in Hell’s Kitchen again. Murdock is still underground and perhaps, continuing to recuperate from the injuries sustained. His allies Foggy Nelson (Elden Hensen) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) are still unaware about his existence.

Maybe the season kicks off with Murdock regaining conscious as well as unraveling the mystery behind how and who rescued him (and probably Elektra too) from the rubble, while it has been confirmed that the show would be adapting the “Born Again” chapter from the comics. That means even popular villain Wilson Fist aka Kingpin, is set to return too!
