Kids’ broadcasters gear up for grand Dussehra celebrations

The festival celebrating the triumph of good over evil is right around the corner and the kids broadcasters are gearing up to serve up a platter full of entertaining shows to keep the kids engaged all day long. Popularly called as Dussehra or VijayaDashmi, is a festival that is  celebrated all across the country with much fanfare. Most cities also have street plays with the reenactment of the folklore, when Lord Ram destroyed the evil 10 headed Ravana as a symbol of ‘Good over Evil’.

Inickt is believed that the youth is the future of the nation, so in order to enlighten  as well as entertain the tiny tots  on this auspicious day, the children’s category of the broadcast space has produced a range of special programmes. Here’s what these channels have to offer the toddlers on Dussehra.

Nickelodeon is all set to entertain kids with India’s super cool awesome-twosome Motu Patlu in their new mega potboiler ‘Motu Patlu in Carnival Island’ premiering on 22nd October at 10:30 am.

Set  in the beautiful Carnival Island, the adventure will see Motu Patlu embark on a journey to save the Island from a suspicious bomb threat.

The movie will see Motu Patlu embark on yet another adventure, this time Carnival Island where every year a grand carnival is held by its respectful owner – an old man affectionately called Dadaji. This year, residents of Furfurinagar along with Motu Patlu and his friends are also invited to showcase their own tableaux. However, the celebrations and fanfare are threatened by a bomb planted by an evil contractor named Magral who wants to own Carnival Island. Will Motu Patlu discover the bomb and save the island and his friends? That is something which one will have to watch and know more about.

Cartoon Network, the first 24 hours cartoon channel of India which has never failed in delivering exciting content for children, has created a special programming block called, ‘Shaandar Dussehra’ for the festive occasion. Beginning at  10:00 am, the block shall take viewers on a journey to witness the adventures of Mighty Raju, to hang out with Haddi and his buddies and end with a special show featuring the toddler’s favourite, Oggy and the cockroaches in ‘Oggy Ki Shaandar Shaadi’.

Whereas the younger sibling Pogo is all set to  celebrate Dusserha with its most popular character Chhota Bheem travelling to Africa in ‘Chhota Bheem in African Safari’ with the premise being the success of good over evil.

 

This movie shall take you on an abunding number of laughs till you drop moments as Chhota Bheem and his gang of friends encounter a series of topsy-turvy adventures as they suffer from Amnesia after consuming a weird fruit just to regain their memory by  eating their power gainer – Ladoos. In the meanwhile, Dolu-Polu get kidnapped by the evil-muscular antagonist  Hatari whose  slave is a humanoid stick, Katari. The creators of the show, claim that this television feature offering is the fastest animation which they have created till date. “It took only 2 weeks to get the entire one hour movie animated by getting 50 artists on board who were already working on Chhota Bheem’s Himalayan Adventures,” stated director of ‘Chhota Bheem in African Safari’ Binayak Das, also the animation director at Green Gold Animation.

That’s not it! After this one hour movie, Pogo will continue the Chhota Bheem marathon with other hit movies and series that is incorporated with a ‘Dus Pe Dus contest’ which will allow viewers to win 10 tablets.

Apart from these channels, the other kids entertainment channels will broadcast their regular shows.
