Javed Jaffery roped in as the ‘Festive Ambassador’ of IIACFF

The multi-talented actor Javed Jaffey has now added a new accomplishment to his accolades. The fine artist has been roped in by the India International Animation and Cartoon Film Festival (IIACFF) as its Brand Ambassador.

This five-day event that is going to be held from 1-5 October in New Delhi promises to bring together the best of filmmakers and many television artists who specialize in animation and visual effects in movies. It will also create a platform for students to exhibit their work to the audience and jury members, which includes Sharad Dutt, former director of Doordarshan; filmmaker and animator Soumitra Ranade; Satyajit Bhatkal, director of TV show Satyamev Jayate; and Mary Kom actress Rajni Basumatary among others.

IIACFF endeavours to change the scenario of the animation industry and the students associated with cartoon and animation in India while alongside it shall also emphasise on youth and will try to cater to school students’ interest in the field of animation.

Ankush Nandi and Udayshankar have joined hands with business entrepreneurs Pransanta Nandi and Anupam Mukerjee, to herald the launch of IIACFF (India International Animation and Cartoon Film festival).The best films selected by the jury will be recognised and awarded.

Javed Jaffery’s voice over as the anchor had made the Hindi dubbed version of the hilarious Japanese reality game show, Takeshi’s castle a laughter riot amongst all the children. His love for animation is seen through his past achievements in the animation world; He had for dubbed Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Don Karnage in Hindi for Disney; And had also scripted the Hindi version of Disney’s Jungle Book 2 and Pixar’s The Incredibles(Hum Hai Lajawaab) along with voicing for the antagonist.  His character as Charlie Anna in the first full-fledged commercial animated film Roadside Romeo (a collaborative effort of Yash Raj Films and Disney) was highly appreciate by the audiences especially by the tiny tots. The IIACFF have chosen a brilliant personality who fits in the shoes of being the Festive Ambassador for this gigantic event.
