Google takes you to a galaxy far far away

Google and Disney are two of the biggest companies currently in each of its fields and partnership between them for promoting Disney’s most awaited movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens is making it all the more enticing for fan boys.

In tune with the ongoing celebration the duo previously rolled out a feature where one logs into the Google account and chooses to be either on the dark or light side, making Google apps like Gmail, Maps, YouTube, Google Docs and experience Star Wars before the movie hits theatres.

This does not end here Google also came out with a second easter egg related to the movie where Google tweeted a link to Google translate where the Star Wars saying “May the force be with you” is translated from English into Aurebesh, which is the written language used in the Star Wars movies.

If Star Wars in your phone and translating into Aurebesh language was not enough; the Disney-Google collaboration is offering Star Wars fans with an opportunity to share an immersive experiences. A program called ‘Awaken the Force Within’ with Google Cardboard Virtual Reality has rolled out and will offer VR experience, from the past to the opening sequence of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The VR experience will be available in Star Wars app, both on Android and iOS devices.

If you don’t find that cool, then just Google “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away,” and sit back and enjoy your search results, in the signature Star Wars style crawling up the screen. It even plays the theme song.

But the search result displays the Star Wars opening sequence only when the above words are typed; and only the first page of the search result is shown and nothing more.

The movie release is less than a month away and with all these easter eggs we expect more from the partnership and Google releasing a lot more integrated Star Wars experience as the release date nears.
