Seems like the arrogant yet brilliant neurosurgeon, Doctor Strange has found his solace and has finally embraced the role of Sorcerer Supreme, as Benedict Cumberbatch is now seen in his Doctor Strange avataar.
Earlier we had reported Benedict to be seen filming in Nepal where he was seen in a disheveled and bearded look wearing normal loose clothes. And now, Entertainment Weekly has revealed the first official look of Cumberbatch sporting the Doctor Strange attire.
Talking more about his character, Cumberbatch says, “There’s all sorts of craziness (in Doctor Strange). Falling, flying, jumping, fighting, punching, getting punched. It’s really rough and tumble.”
Since the announcement of the film, there has been mixed responses about the whole idea of bringing the comic character to the big screen. But looking at the images, we can be sure that Cumberbatch is leaving no stone unturned to justify his role. In the look revealed, Cumberbatch looks impeccable and mystic as Doctor Strange is seen in the comic world.
“I’m perpetually awestruck that I’m getting to make this movie,” adds director Scott Derrickson. “I keep waiting for the knock on the door when somebody says, ‘This movie’s too weird, we can’t make this.'”
The filming for Doctor Strange began this November and is slated to release on 4 November, 2016.
