Fans want ‘Krypton’ star Wallis Day to replace Ruby Rose in ‘Batwoman’

Fans of the CW’s Batwoman were shocked at the announcement that series star Ruby Rose will not be returning to the series’ titular role for its upcoming second season. With the second season expected to debut in January 2021, fans started naming their favourites for the superhero role. They seem to have found the perfect fit in Krypton star Wallis Day.

Day is familiar the superhero genre as she played Nyssa-Vex in Krypton. Nyssa was seen as an astute lawmaker, a brilliant tactician. Nyssa understands the city’s politics and is utterly at home within the establishment of Kandor’s ruling class. She’s adept in the art of political alliance, but it is Seg who will teach her about friendship. She was a pivotal character in the series.

“Hi guys.. first of all I want to address the fact that I’ve seen your tweets of love & support over the last week. I am so humbled and truly flattered that you think of my work so fondly enough to trust me with a role so precious to so many of you.. Thank you so so much. Xx,” Day tweeted.

Many found a slight resemblance of Day to Rose. While Day hasn’t publicly addressed her sexuality, she has been a vocal advocate of LGBTQ+ rights and her Krypton character was also revealed to be bisexual.
