Education gaming start-up Nayi Disha raises seed funding worth Rs 2 crore

Delhi based Nayi Disha Studios, an educational gaming start-up which uses Motion sensing tech to develop educational games, has raised a seed funding of Rs 2 crore from CX Partners managing partner Ajay Relan.

Founded in 2012 by Kushal Bhagia and Kartik Aneja, Nayi Disha Studios provides motion sensor-based learning apps spread across a range of subjects including math, languages and general knowledge. It uses motion sensing technology to build educational computer games for school and pre-school students. With such games, the company is aiming to make learning fun and engaging.

Children obviously have different cognitive abilities, and there are a lot of schools today that have recognized this, and have responded well. We’ve created about 30 apps so far, and are now looking to break into the consumer market as well. We’re looking at selling the product in brick-and-mortar retail stores as well as online.”

The company claims to have partnered with many schools and pre-schools in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, etc.
