‘DuckTales’ set to make a comeback on Disney XD in 2017

Well known animated series DuckTales is all set to make a comeback in 2017. According to reports, the new series will be produced by Disney Television Animation and will be launched on Disney XD channels across the world.

The announcement was made by Disney XD senior VP programming and general manager Marc Buhaj. He said, “DuckTales has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults.  Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.”

The new series will star popular characters Scrooge McDuck, his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie and Donald Duck. It will take viewers along their high-flying adventures across the world. Other characters that will be seen once again include Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell & Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys (Burger Beagle, Bouncer Beagle), Mrs Beakley and Webbigail Vanderquack.

The first airing had about 100 episodes produced by Disney Television Animation, followed by a movie.
