Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to come to life

One of the most cherished and loved classic cult tale from Disney’s kitty, Beauty and the Beast is all set for a transition from animation to live action.

The D-23Expo that happened in the USA last week announced this new concept of Disney.  ‘Hermione aka Emma Watson has been roped in to play the beautiful Belle while Dan Stevens has been roped in the beast. ’

Apart from them, the movie shall also star Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Gugu Mbatha-Taw as Plumette and Stanley Tucci as Cadenza.

During the event, the fans were given a first glimpse of Emma Watson as Belle in the upcoming Walt Disney Studios’ “Beauty and the Beast.” The event also showed a video where Watson introduced another clip where actors Luke Evans (Gaston) and Josh Gad (Le Fou) were singing “Gaston.”

The movie is directed by Bill Condon and written by Stephen Chbosky, “Beauty and the Beast” brings the classic fairy tale to life with fresh music from Disney favourites Alan Menken and Sir Tim Rice.

The movie shall hit the theatres on 17 March 2017 in 3D formats. Apart from this, Disney is also set to release ‘Jungle Book’ in the live action format in April 2016.
