Disney+Hotstar celebrated Mother’s Day with #MumKiShanti campaign

To celebrate the struggle and strength of the unsung heroes of our homes- mothers, on Mother’s Day (10 May), Disney+ Hotstar came up with an exciting campaign #MumKiShanti.

Disney+ Hotstar’s VIP pack continues to babysit and keep kids engaged during lockdown while mothers have to look after a lot of things in the house as well as manage her professional space. Few noted Bollywood moms like Genelia D’Souza, Soha Ali Khan and Shilpa Shetty were a part of the campaign who spent Mother’s Day relaxing, as Disney+ Hotstar served as babysitters.

The OTT platform provided mothers with their much needed #MumKiShanti, while their little ones remained hooked to stories and characters from the world of Disney+Hotstar like Elsa, Simba, Aladdin, Mickey Mouse and others during this unprecedented quarantine period.

The actresses took to social media to talk about how they’ve found the best digital babysitters to keep their little ones busy.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra said, “Owing to my erratic working hours, I am grateful that the lockdown has given me more time to spend with my family, especially my kids, so I can’t complain. But, I do agree that sometimes it is an uphill task to manage two kids and keep my seven yr old entertained through the day, for days on end considering we are very strict on screen time being on weekends only. On this Mother’s Day, characters from Disney+Hotstar all aligned to help me and other moms relax, while “they” keep my child entertained. Thank you for this #Mothersday gift and for being amazing #babysitters.”

Genelia Deshmukh added, “Being a mum is exhausting sometimes, and even more so in the current situation. So, I’m getting a babysitter for Riaan and Rahyl – and no it’s not who you think it is. I am looking forward to Woody from Toy Story to keep the kids busy.”

Soha Ali Khan mentioned, “When one has super active kids, there aren’t many opportunities for Moms to be able to relax in the day. It’s fantastic that Disney+Hotstar has a wide range of shows – from stories about friendships, values, adventures to DIY Art and Crafts that can keep your children entertained. This Mother’s Day, as Inaya hangs out with some of her favourite Disney characters, I plan to finally catch up on some reading.”

With stories for all ages, Disney+Hotstar has an exciting line-up of kids’ content including popular shows like Doraemon, Shin Chan, Mickey Mouse and his friends, Chacha Choudhary, Toy Story 4 and Winnie The Pooh, entertain and teach valuable life lessons based on the importance of friendship. Hit movies like The Lion King, Frozen II, Aladdin and Alice in Wonderland  help children escape into a world of imagination and adventure. With an inbuilt kids-safe mode, parents will now be able to navigate through age appropriate content.
