Creative French projects receive Animation Industry Award at Mifa

The International Animated Film Market (Mifa) presented its Animation Industry Award, a prize that honours professionals whose recent work has been particularly significant for the sector.

This year Mifa rewarded professionals from seven production companies. They have proudly represented French animation around the world and even at the 2026 Oscars:

  • Sophie Mas and Natalie Portman – MountainA
  • Félix de Givry and Ugo Bienvenu – Remembers
  • Ugo Bienvenu- Arco
  • Nidia Santiago and Edwina Liard – Ikki Films
  • Claire Lacombe – Puffin Pictures
  • Henri Magalon – Maybe Movies
  • Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han- Amélie and the Metaphysics of Tubes
  • Ron Dyens – Sacrebleu Productions
  • Luc Camilli – Xbo films
  • Florence Miailhe- Papillon 

Producing an animated film is a commitment for years. It requires courage, conviction, audacity, believing in it despite the difficulties, discouragement, and criticism. We can all be proud of the progress made and the success these three works have achieved, showcasing animation throughout the world,” shared Mifa director Véronique Encrenaz.

This triple Oscar nomination marks a historic year for French animated cinema, highlighting the creativity, innovation and excellence of French studios, which continue to make their mark on the history of the seventh art. Mifa recognised such amazing works coming out from the studios.
