‘Chhota Bheem’ and ‘Motu Patlu’ to bring a colourful Holi for kids

With just a day left for Holi, children are busy buying their favourite pichkaris and colours to play with. Catering to their need, Green Gold Animation and Viacom18 are busy giving out Chhota Bheem and Motu Patlu merchandises respectively.

Green Gold has introduced non toxic herbal colours at all Green Gold Stores across the country and other retail counters. The colours are kids friendly and priced at Rs 99 per pack. Similar herbal colours for Holi were introduced last year as well.

Since the products are specific to Holi, it will last only till tomorrow. However, the company plans to introduce a lot of new merchandise to fill the summer holiday slot which will have both Bheem and Mighty Raju merchandise. “Chhota Bheem and gang are used for branding on Holi products, due to their high demand among kids,” says Green Gold Stores head Sudeesh Varma.

He also adds that though such marketing does not contribute a ‘substantial’ growth in business, it helps in customer satisfaction. “Colours become the need of the hour and non-toxic colours add value to the purchase,” he points out.

Motu Patlu on Yellow Diamond Rings

Viacom18 on the other hand has renewed its deal with Yellow Diamond Rings for Motu Patlu characters for the season. About three weeks ago, the packets hit stands across the north states of the country, where the brand is present.

Children buying the colourful Holi packs will find small toys of Motu and Patlu holding a pichkari and will be available till stocks last. Promos of the same are running on air and will run for a week post Holi as well. This strategy has worked well for the company since the deal was signed last year and hence it decided to extend it for the festive occasion.

These apart, popular characters such as Doraemon, Ben Ten, Spongebob Squarepants will also be visible in retail outlets spreading the festive joy.
