BengaluruITE.BIZ 2016 to recognise startups from the AVCG industry for the first time

The flagship event of Government of Karnataka (GoK)  Bengaluru ITE.biz 2016, India’s premier IT and electronics event. After 18 long and successful years of showcasing the developments / explorations, achievements, innovations and challenges of Indian ICT, as it moves into the next big leap, Bengaluru ITE.biz 2016 is poised to make another transformation in its 19th edition.

Over the last few years Bengaluru has emerged as the hub for animation, visual effects, gaming and comics (AVGC) sector in India. GoK has dedicated half day for AVGC during this edition of Bengaluru ITE.Biz.

ABAI2ABAI has partnered with GoK and will be curating the two AVGC tracks at ITE.Biz – VR/AR/MR and Animation and Animation Technologies.

On the 29 of November, half of the day’s sessions would be dedicated to the AVCG industry with various speakers on different tracks.
 Track 1 – AR, VR & MR

Happy Finish, CEO – APAC, Ashish Limaye  – He would throw lights on Why, How and When of VR. Limaye will also edify about leveraging the mobile ecosystem where brands and consumers can meaningfully engage through a good VR experience.

Blippar, VP of engineering for AR content platforms, Satheesh Subramanian  – The speaker will elaborate the difference between AR and VR, the history and the current trends and the market opportunities that exist for both.

Autodesk, MD, India and SAARC, Pradeep Nair – The unstoppable wave that is VR and AR is disrupting the way we are used to creating, distributing and monetising content. Virtual Reality offers an entirely new experience to audiences as well as storytellers. In his address, Nair will share stories of some such disruptor that are leading this trend.

Track 2 – Animation  & Animation Technology

DreamWorks Animation India Unit, general manager, Damien de FroberbvilleThe speaker will introduce the craft of animated movie making while also shedding light on the production journey of a story from script to big screen. He will explain the different stages of production and how technology today enables storytelling.

Adobe Systems India, executive director and VP (Products), Shanmugh Natarajan The speaker will elucidate the technological challenges that creative industry people face today and how state of the art technology can help them better these challenges. Natarajan will also also provide a sneak peek into the future and how cutting edge technology can help the creative bunch make good experiences great.

ABAI has also arranged a VR experience zone with companies like Samsung, Autodesk, Digital Jalebi and more showcasing their VR offerings.

Apart from these, for the first time, start-ups from the AVGC will also be recognised in the premier event during ‘Startup Karnataka Top Tech 25 awards 2016’, which is slated to be held on 30 November.
