AppOn Studios turns Zombie with ‘Zombie Busters Squad’

Zombie Busters Squad is a new action platformer android game developed by AppOn Studios, featuring the zombies who are slayed by Zombie squad members: Jane, John and Dr. Dan.

The game setting is futuristic where the Earth is suddenly infested with a deadly virus that’s caused the horrible zombie apocalypse. A team of zombie busters are up for a deadly battle against hordes of brutal zombies!

The game has you pitted against a horde of zombies as you pass through each level killing the brain eating monsters.  You can change characters in between the levels as and when you want to. Jane is a sword wielding Ninja, who chops, slices and slaughters the zombies. John is robotic soldier who looks like a character straight out of the movie Terminator. Dr. Dan uses his scientific knowledge to make chemical weapons to kill the pack of undead.

The game consists of 50 levels engaging the players with different scenarios in each stage.

The game is developed on an engine that has been worked on by the gaming studio itself due to the size restriction the third party engines have.

“We develop our games on the engine we have created ourselves. The third party engines have a certain restriction with the file size which can be very hinder some for apps for countries like India and China who have internet limitations. Apps with bigger file size don’t allow you to a greater number of audiences,” said AppOn CEO, Swaroop Kumar.

The game was developed in six months with the help of 11 team members led by Swaroop Kumar. Programmed by Ajay Pawar, Art by Luell Lopes. And the artists’ team consisted of Amol Lokare, Vinayak Potdar and Dipika Patil. Levels were designed by Shailendra Jadhav and Kaushik Gadgil.

Executive Game Producer is Vaibhav Hemne and Quality Assurance was taken care by Vipul Parashar and Sumit Pare.

“We are currently marketing the game on Facebook and intend to go on digital marketing spree as the week progresses. We expect the game to cross 500,000 downloads in the next six months and a million in eight, “added Swaroop.

The game is currently on the Android platform and will come out on the iOS platform in the near future.

The studio currently has 5 games in the pipeline and is planning to release them in the next 3-4 months.
