The Grimm sisters are back, and Ferryport Landing, a town where fairy tales and their creatures are very much real, has more mysteries up its sleeve. Apple TV has unveiled the official trailer for season two of its animated fantasy adventure series The Sisters Grimm, which returns with six episodes on 2 October 2026.
Based on Michael Buckley’s New York Times bestselling book series, the show follows sisters Sabrina and Daphne Grimm, descendants of the Brothers Grimm, the ancestral founders of the family’s secret legacy as fairy-tale detectives. As they solve mysteries in Ferryport Landing. Season one scored a 100 per cent critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a popular online review-aggregation website.
Season two picks up a year after the mysterious disappearance of the sisters’ parents. Sabrina and Daphne continue digging into Ferryport Landing’s secrets while confronting new adventures, creatures and mysteries. Different as chalk and cheese, the sisters remain an unlikely but effective detective duo.
The voice cast includes Ariel Winter as Sabrina, Leah Newman as Daphne, Laraine Newman as Relda, Abubakar Salim as Charming, Billy Harris as Puck and Harry Trevaldwyn as Mirror.
The series is developed by Emmy Award nominee Amy Higgins (Star vs. the Forces of Evil), who serves as showrunner, alongside Emmy Award nominee Erica Rothschild (Sofia the First). Emmy Award-winning studio Titmouse, known for Duck and Goose, Harriet the Spy and Frog and Toad, produces the animation.
Higgins and Buckley executive produce alongside Emmy Award winners Elliot Blake and Philip Alberstat, Steven Amato and Theresa Park. An independent animation production studioTitmouse’s Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina and Antonio Canobbio also executive produce, with Sage Cotugno serving as supervising director.
The Sisters Grimm joins Apple TV’s growing slate of kids and family animation, which includes My Brother the Minotaur from Cartoon Saloon and Dog Ears, two acclaimed animation and creative studios, Wonder Pets: In the City from Nickelodeon Animation, WondLa, Yo Gabba GabbaLand!, Shape Island, Goldie and the Snoopy Presents specials.
