For the makers, the new release date carries a deeply personal significance. Produced by Ele Animations, Mahaprabhu Jagannath is the first theatrical feature from the studio’s Sanatan Universe. The film follows young Jagan and Balram as they enter an extraordinary world of divine adventures and confront the powerful asura Aham. At its heart is a story about devotion and the belief that true faith cannot be defeated by ego or darkness.
The film has been created as a family entertainer, with animation serving as a way to make India’s spiritual stories more accessible and engaging for children and younger audiences. The film has also received a U certificate from the CBFC in Hindi, Odia and Telugu.
