Asia will get to witness the gathering of some of the best talents in the media and entertainment industry at State of The Art (START) – the first digital festival in Asia – to be held at the Star Performing Art Centre in Singapore from 26 – 28 June 2014.
START is a truly inspirational event put together to ignite the passion in creating and drawing. This will be one-of-a-kind visual event that celebrates the best talents in the film, games and comics industry.
A multi-genre, cross-platform festival, START will offer three-days of intensive program including conference, market place, digital painting challenge and master classes. The event will see a stellar line-up of international and local artists showcasing their works in various art forms including concept art, illustration, character design, game design as well as digital art and graphics.
To create the ultimate experience in inspiration, creativity and learning, START has gathered speakers from some of the world’s most prestigious entertainment companies including Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic, Pixar Animation Studios and Imaginary Friends Studios. From video games (God of War, World of Warcraft, Street Fighter III, Dota 2) to Hollywood movies (Transformers, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spiderman, The Hobbit, Wall-E, Cars); to comics (Dark Knight, Poison Ivy, Bat Girl, Captain America, Hulk) and advertisements (Nike, Coca-Cola, Philips, Heineken); the artists behind these well known works will share their experiences, impart knowledge and discuss new ideas at START.
