Earlier this year, we heard a rumor revolving around Marvel’s that it’s coming up with Agents of SHIELD spin off series but was dismissed immediately but seems like the rumors were true. According to Variety, ABC has reportedly ordered a pilot for Agents of SHIELD companion starring Mockingbird.
The series has been titled as Marvel’s Most Wanted and will focus primarily on the popular SHIELD characters: Adrianne Palicki‘s Bobbi Morse (known as Mockingbird) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter in a dramatic action series. The two actors will top line the pilot and prospective series. SHIELD producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski will show run and executive produce the series, along with co-writing the pilot. Marvel’s head of Television, Jeph Loeb, would also be the executive producer.
Variety reported that the series isn’t really a spin-off but rather it’s an entire new series focused solely on these two characters and their stories will be continued. ABC does not know when the series would premiere, or how Agents of SHIELD would set Marvel’s Most Wanted for launch but we know that Marvel’s Most Wanted will follow the pair and their adventures together.
For now, viewers can look forward to Agents of SHIELD season 3 series which will premiere on 29 September.
