XR Central plans for geographic expansion into the Middle East and EU region with the launch of MetaQube this year

Since the inception of metaverse, a lot of technology experts have experimented with the technology with an aim to launch their product which will further bolster the ecosystem. One of such products is MetaQube which is a Build-It-Yourself (BIY) metaverse platform for businesses and creators. MetaQube is a metaverse product of XR Central and with the help of MetaQube, anyone can build and host a variety of use cases within minutes. The use cases served are fan zones (across various fields), corporate experience centers, art galleries, art fairs, and immersive learning and training rooms. It is powered by a powerful gaming engine which enables high-quality immersion and interactions with communication features like video, audio, and chat.

In conversation with Animation Xpress, XR Central founder and director Anshul Agarwal shared, “We felt that there was a lack of SaaS solutions for metaverse, and since it will be such a big part of our future experience of internet and technology, it seemed clear to us that we should be the ones developing a SaaS platform. With MetaQube, people across industries and geographies can easily access the metaverse and create their own worlds within minutes.”

A lot of industry stakeholders are investing in the metaverse. He believes that these investments are only going to increase as everyone is curious in figuring out how to use the metaverse in the best possible way. The kind of alarming, positive speculation metaverse has received has triggered investors to invest like they do for any new technology. “The buzz around the metaverse is only growing with each passing day, and I don’t see it dying down soon. It’s good to have investors representing a variety of fields and interests so there’s innovation in all directions as we move forward,” Agarwal added.

They aim to connect everyone in India through the metaverse, and want to develop an ecosystem where creators can find their audience, where industry leaders can offset costs, where collaboration is easier, and where one  can build a highly personal virtual space of their own.

He added, “Our near future plan is to build use cases around fan zones (especially sports), brand experience centers, learning & training rooms for corporates and the ed tech industries, and art galleries and fairs (provide artists a new platform to showcase work). The core of our platform will be immersive collaboration and community for the developers and creators. We are really looking at democratizing the way immersive solutions have been architected and consumed. Cost, time to market and infrastructure of the entire metaverse (XR solutions) will be disrupted with our platform MetaQube.”

Agarwal doesn’t feel challenged being the rival  to industry giants like Decentraland and SandBox because according to him both the platforms are great, but they don’t understand the Indian and Asian ecosystem like MetaQube does, and will not have the necessary cultural and procedural knowledge to grow in these areas.

The 5G rollout will lead to lower load times, more efficient experiences, and an increase in overall accessibility. This means that brands, corporations and the average man on the street will all be able to participate more effectively in the metaverse revolution and at the same time it will encourage more people to adopt AR and VR technologies.

The team is currently working on the launch of their flagship product, MetaQube and is planning for geographic expansion into the Middle East and EU region.

Agarwal concluded by saying, “India should be a world-leader in providing and consuming metaverse technologies. The breadth of the population is vast, and metaverse solutions can be used to solve a variety of problems and systemic issues which come up in Indian society. Every entity, from local governments to schools, can benefit from metaverse technologies.”
