Tinfo Mobile planks on quality with Tenali

nullBest known in the mobile gaming space for its advergame Scorpio Turbonator which it developed for Mahindra & Mahindra, Trivandrum based Mobile applications & content developer, Tinfo Mobile has shared with Animation ‘xpress, details about its latest mobile game Tenali Raman- The Great Expose which is based on Toonz Animation India’s Tenali Raman character.

The Great Expose is a role playing puzzle game (RPG) in which one dons the role of the intelligent and witty court jester of Vijayanagara, the objective being to keep the Maharaja out of danger by outwitting the scheming Rajguru.

The game features three vast levels and a unique undo-redo option, which allows Tenali to retrace his steps in-case he makes a wrong move.

Tinfo Mobile India CTO Anupam Varghese shared, “We believe our game is a treat for real mobile gamers. It features original game-play built around the witty and smart court jester – Tenali Raman and preserves the attributes of the cartoon characters that the team at Toonz Animation India have so lovingly created”

“The objective has been to provide value for money for a customer who downloads the game by ensuring that the game packs hours of play and can be played in innumerable short sessions” he added.

The development for Tenali.. commenced a year ago and a 11 member team worked for a span of three months at Tinfo Mobile to create the game. After having been ready for quite a few months, it was finally soft launched last month by Indiatimes for the GSM market and by Reliance in the CDMA segment.

The price for downloads varies across operators. Reliance follows a Rs. 2/- pay-per-session model, while some of the other operators are offering the game download for Rs 50/-.

“We had the product ready with us for quite some time, but we felt that the mobile download market in India had not matured enough for a quality mobile title at that point of time” commented Varghese.

“The game features some high quality detailed pixel art and would be pretty enjoyable to play it on one of the bigger screen handsets like the Nokia 6600 or the Sony Ericsson W800” he concluded.
