Studio Wildcard at Extra Life 24-hour charity stream reveals sneak peak of Lost Island map coming to ‘ARK: Survival Evolved’ on 14 December

This past weekend, Studio Wildcard hosted its annual Extra Life 24-hour charity stream and with the help of the ARK: Survival Evolved community, sponsors and Extra Life team, they are now #1 globally on the leaderboard for both the Individual and Team fundraising! The collective efforts raised over $185,000 for children in need establishing a new record for Team ARK. The Wildcard dev team is so grateful for the generous, supportive players, partners and sponsors, as well as the opportunity to help facilitate this raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network, delivering giveaways and big ARK game reveals – this year is no exception!

During Extra Life the Wildcard team shared sneak peeks at upcoming content including visuals from the Lost Island official map coming to ARK: Survival Evolved on 14 December 2021. This expansive 150 sq. kilometer map will have Survivors encountering new biomes, challenges and mysterious ruins! Arriving with the map will be three brand new real-world creatures that were revealed this past Saturday during Extra Life fundraising goals: Amargasaurus, Dinopithecus, and Sinomacrops!

Lost Island and its creatures will be a free DLC coming to Steam, Epic, Xbox, PlayStation on 14 December 2021.

Also Fjordur will be making its debut on the ARK in June 2022! Currently an unofficial PC mod, this cold-weather, breathtaking map will become official game content for both PC and console when released. This mod is a fan favorite where Survivors discover ancient realms, huge castles and endeavor to become a real Viking. At launch Fjordur will contain three new creatures: first announced is the Andrewsarchus, with one of the last two chosen by the ARK community and revealed next year.

ARK
will be fully compatible with Steam Deck, the upcoming Proton based handheld gaming computer from Valve Corporation, with BattlEye support right out of the box!
