When a flamboyant cricketer like Krish Srikkanth launches world cup themed online games, both gaming as well as cricket fans are going to throng the portal.
Headed by Adithyaa Srikkanth (son of the legendary Krish Srikkanth), Krishcricket.com is building a frenzy of online games as the countdown to the Cricket World Cup begins.
To begin with the portal will be launching a couple of games including a two player multiplayer game named �Virtual World Cup� and a fantasy cricket game �Captain of Captains�.
Virtual World Cup is a two player multiplayer game where end number of players can play the game at any given time and the fielding and umpiring has been set with the help of Artificial Intelligence. On the other hand, Captain of Captains is a fantasy cricket game where a player can chose his own player and team to play the game.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com, CEO of KrishCricket.com, Adithyaa Srikkanth shared “The games we have made are flash based games. We have used excellent graphics and the games are in 2D. Also, we are planning to recreate the same in 3D. The games will soon be available on mobile also, on the J2ME platform”
The game is partly developed by the in-house team of Krishcricket.com which consists of 32 members. The production part has been outsourced.
Elaborating further on the production schedule Adithyaa added, “Currently, the games are in testing mode and we are launching the game in two or three weeks time. It took total of eight months to develop the game and a team of 16 people worked on the game”
Talking about the games, Former Indian Cricketer & Captain Krish Srikkanth shared, “Both the games are innovative games and will release before the World cup 2007. We want that people should enjoy the games and we believe that the games will definitely perform well in market. We are targeting the youth of the nation, but the game can be played by all age groups”
Initially, the games are completely free and a player needs to register on Krishcricket.com to play the games.
