JetSynthesys’ Seekhlo.com wins MyGov and UN Women’s Shri Shakti Challenge: Amrit Mahotsav Edition

JetSynthesys’ Seekhlo has won the Shri Shakti Challenge: Amrit Mahotsav Edition that was organised by the Indian government (MyGov), the ministry of electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and UN Women. The challenge was launched to select tech products built by women entrepreneurs in the field of women empowerment and women’s safety. Seekhlo.com is a product that aims to educate people, including women, on various gender related issues including laws that guarantee women’s rights and safety.

Delighted by the win, JetSynthesys CEO and Founder Rajan Navani says, “We as a team are extremely thrilled by the win and would like to thank MyGov and UN Women India for bringing this contest to our female entrepreneurs, especially at a time when women’s participation in the formal workforce is at an historic low. A learning platform with curated content and courses in Marathi, Hindi, English, Seekhlo.com empowers individuals, especially women, to learn, implement and grow as they better understand gender narratives, parenting, and self-management. It is an initiative we genuinely believe in, and I commend Sheetal on the work she and her team is putting in to take this to every corner of the country.”

Upon winning product – Seekhlo.com co founder Sheetal Bapat said, “I believe that to increase the number of women participating in the workforce, occupying leadership positions, or establishing themselves as entrepreneurs, we need to work to build a different gender narrative and to create safe workplaces. Seekhlo.com is our first step towards the same as we aim to educate and empower women on every gender related issue they face and how they can deal with it. I am grateful for MyGov and UN Women for giving us the opportunity to show our products to the eminent panel and awarding us with the win.”

The contest was held in several rounds and evaluated over 2700 entries before narrowing down to the top three innovations. The winners – StandWeSpeak, Seekhlo, Safe City – have been shown mentorship and financial support of about rupees five lakh to take their ideas to the next step.
