Game4u launches two new stores in Gurgaon

Mumbai based Game4u has recently launched 2 new stores in Gurgaon at MGF Metropolis Mall & Ambience Mall. Game4u’s retail network currently spans 8 company-operated stores in India which includes four stores in Mumbai, one each in Ludhiana and Jalandhar and the two recently opened stores in Gurgaon. It also has an online store at www.game4u.com

Game4u is a part of Milestone Interactive group and India’s premium multichannel retailer of PC and video games, game consoles and related accessories.

Speaking to Animationxpress.com about the launch Jayont R. Sharma, Chairman and CEO, Milestone Interactive Group said, “NCR has emerged as a leading hub for Gaming. There is huge interest and demand in the Gurgaon region. Some facts would be that out of ten Gaming tournaments in the last one year in India more than 50% have taken place in Delhi & Gurgaon. There are more than four dozen video game centers / parlors just in Delhi. Also, an absence of a specialized gaming retail store chain in the region. We also observed through our e-retail site www.game4u.com and from our social media platforms that the traction of gamers from Northern India is growing faster as compared to other regions. Considering all the favorable factors, we decided to open stores in Gurgaon.”

There are a variety of games available in the store ranging from Rs. 199 to 3999 depending on whether the gamer wants to buy a PC game or a console game. The store presents consumers with a destination for them to browse, interact and buy from an impressive line-up of gaming software and hardware, backed up by a well-trained and knowledgeable staff. There are wide range of consoles and games on formats like PlayStation2, PlayStation3, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Wii, NDS and PC. Additionally, they also offer accessories and gaming figurines.

“Gaming has emerged as the fastest growing segment in the Indian entertainment space. According to the latest KPMG FICCI report the Indian gaming sector achieved revenues of INR 13 billion and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 29% to reach INR 46 billion by 2016. The gaming industry is seeing trends of casual & social gaming evolving slowly. Newer trends like film embraced gaming, online gaming bring in increased market opportunities for various players in gaming at each vertical. The report also entails that console gaming has remained the largest segment by value in 2011. This is only true as the immersive experience of console gaming has taken the category significantly deeper beyond the metros in India. With so much happening on the digital, entertainment & gaming front the Indian industry will definitely see sunny days ahead. We are constantly trying to bring best deals and offers for the Indian gamers as well as provide unparalleled game shopping experience backed by best-in-class products & services.” Jayont added

Along with the launch of its new stores; the company also unveiled its Rewards Program – “TEAM ELITE”. This program will offer members a plethora of privileges and will reward every purchase from Game4u stores as well as through its e-store www.game4u.com
The “Team Elite” program is a mechanism to track the current high volume of repeat visitors, and reward them for their loyalty. While hard core gamers will surely reap maximum benefits, the low entry barrier to enroll, allows casual gamers and family gamers to avail exciting benefits during repeat visits to the stores. Through this initiative, Game4u hopes to attract 25,000 sign-ups in the first three months.

Game4u plans to open 50 new stores across top 30 Indian cities in the forthcoming 3years, thereby establishing itself as the leading retailer in India. It also plans to publish games for hand-held devices in alliance with game development studios and local IP owners.
