Shravan and Sanjay Kumaran Wins The Genius Category at Pogo Amazing Kids Awards 2013

Shravan Kumaran (9th grade student) and Sanjay Kumaran (7th grade student), brothers from Chennai based Vales Billabong International School won the Genius Category at Pogo Amazing Kids Awards 2013.  At such a young age, as these brothers have established a Mobile app developing Company called ‘Go Dimensions’, they have been identified as the youngest Application Programmers of India.

In a free wheeling conversation with AnimationXpress.com, Shravan (Co-Founder and President) and Sanjay Kumaran (CEO), Go Dimensions, share about the several factors that boosted them up in building several apps.

As kids, Shravan and Sanjay were very fond of playing several games on their dad’s Smartphone. After continuous observation on his kids interest of playing games, he suggested his kids to get interested in designing different mobile games with the help of their Programming language QBASIC and started learning Mobile app programming.

In order to take the app developement skill further, Shravan and Sanjay set up ‘Go Dimensions’ Company in Chennai in 2011.What’s the Vision of ‘Go Dimensions’? To this Shravan says, “The name of our Company clearly brings out the concept of Our Vision to provide “Simple solution for Complex Digital world” by going beyond all possible Dimensions in getting a solution.”

Go Dimensions takes up development of different apps belonging to genres of Games, Education and LifeStyle. Till date, they have designed several apps like Catch Me Cop, Alphabet board, Prayer Planet, Colour Palette, Emergency Booth, Super Hero Jetpack EI5, which is easily accesible to 52 countries which also include China,UK,US, Germany, Dubai, India etc.

The well known app called “Emergency Booth” can be used to dial emergency numbers. This app is specially designed to help Senior citizens and Women to send SMS to selected preconfigured numbers for security purposes. In a span of three years they have successfully developed 7 applications that are available in Apple’s App Store.

Sanjay Kumaran

As most of their mobile apps are targeted at kids, bright colour textures have been used in each of their game apps. They use Objective C and Corona to design interesting apps. “Giving out a simple look and feel that goes with the theme of the app is the major challenge while design any respective app.” Sanjay Kumaran highlights.

In the years gone by, they have also won a series of awards like Rotary Club Entrepreneur of the Year award 2012, CII Chandigarh’s Young Achievers Award, Lightning Pitch award from IKMC, Percept Achievers Award and HR Infotech Association IT person Award.
