PVR Inox opens more subscriptions for its second edition of Passport

India’s multiplex chain, PVR Inox recently launched the second edition of Passport – a subscription service which allows users to watch multiple movies at a low price in a given period. After an overwhelming response, the company opened new subscriptions.

The PVR Inox Passport offers monthly access to four movies for Rs 349. It provides access to recliner seats and premium formats with top-up charge of Rs 150, along with the option to redeem tickets for friends. Subscribers receive F&B vouchers included with a three-month subscription and family benefits.

The cinema giant has said that it has sold over 50,000 passports within the first two weeks of launching the second edition, with users in South Indian grabbing around 60 per cent of the subscriptions on offer. Observing the success, PVR Inox has opened more subscriptions and extended the registration period.

PVR Inox co-CEO Gautam Dutta stated, “Looking at the phenomenal response, not just in terms of uptake of subscriptions, but also in usage and redemption, we are adding more Passports for sale and an extension of registration period. The response demonstrates the audience’s love and enthusiasm for theaters. We are confident that innovative programs like this will help us attract more movie lovers to our fold and strengthen our bond with cinephiles across the country, and add strength to the cinema ecosystem in the country, with more audiences enjoying more content.”
