Comic Con India in Association with The Barking Deer is going to enlighten comic enthusiasts tomorrow with an Exclusive preview of renowned artist and illustrator Abhijeet Kini’s new comic book Angry Maushi: The Second Blood. This 32 pages book is the sequel of Angry Maushi comic that was launched last year at Mumbai Film and Comic Con Fest.
In this free to attend session, that is set for tomorrow from 1 pm onwards at The Barking Deer Brew Pub & Restaurant, Lower Parel, Mumbai, Abhijeet
will be showcasing few pages and art from Angry Maushi: The Second Blood and discuss the process of comic-making, behind the scenes of the his comics, art works and fielding questions.
Unveiling the story line of this book to AnimationXpress.com, Abhijeet, says, “The story picks up from where it was left off in the first book, and goes into major twists, turns and ends up in Hell.
“It is lot more violent and the jokes are a lot more in-your-face, keeping with the kind of humor I’ve wanted to maintain throughout the Angry Maushi comics. It pokes fun at politics a lot more and there are references from various other fields too.” Adds more
Abhijeet, who has self published the book has printed around 200 copies of it, which will be launched at the upcoming Mumbai Comic Con. The main idea of Abhijeet behind creating the book is that he I wanted to touch upon a lot of current political trends. This book, which has Marathi expletives can be an interesting read for readers aged 16 years and above, who have a liking for crude humor and politics.
“I have used my usual color palette for Maushi based art. But this time there has been a
lot of red used in it, owing to lot more blood, scenes in Hell, etc.”,concludes, Abhijeet
