Wendy Gardner becomes VP of communications for Adult Swim and TCM

Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics announced that Wendy Gardner has been promoted to vice president of communications for the Adult Swim and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) brands. In this role, Gardner will be responsible for the development and implementation of all communications strategies for programming, brand initiatives, live events, and digital content.

In addition, she will supervise brand messaging with international partners for top franchise global premieres. Based in Atlanta, Gardner will continue to report to Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adult and Classics division communications head Marie Moore.

“Wendy is a strategic, seasoned PR executive who lives and breathes, and has made significant contributions to our Adult Swim and TCM brands. Her expertise, insights and enthusiasm are second to none and I look forward to her continued success,” said Moore.

Most recently, Gardner served as senior director of communications for Adult Swim and TCM. At Adult Swim, she oversaw award-winning series including Rick and Morty, Robot Chicken, Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal and the launch of the annual Adult Swim Festival. Since 2019, she has led communications for two-time Peabody Award-winning network TCM and the popular TCM Classic Film Festival, currently in its 14th year.

Gardner joined Turner Broadcasting in 2007 as a public relations manager, overseeing media campaigns for Cartoon Network programming, digital and gaming, including the launch of the award-winning series Adventure Time and Regular Show, Ben 10 feature films and series, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Gardner is also the co-chair for the Atlanta Chapter of Women of WarnerMedia, a member of Women in Cable Television Southeast, and serves on the Planned Parenthood Southeast Gala planning committee.
