TASI (The Animation Society of India) recently conducted an animation fest for aspiring animators, Animation students and professionals (working, freelancers & self employed) on Friday, 25th May’12 at Indore. The event was Supported by Indore Animation Society- SCIFA. The other Indore Supporters for the event were Arena Animation-Geeta bhawan , Frameboxx Animation & VFx, Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematic & Zee Institute of Creative Arts.
The main aim of the event was to provide a strong platform for information exchange and exposure towards art & animation industry. During the event TASI team shared their expertise by conducting Workshop, Case Study Presentation, Master Class & Career guidance. The students got exposure to various activities including workshop, master class, case study and career guidance. They gained knowledge and clarified their doubts too.
Speaking to Animationxpress.com, Sanjay Khimesara, Centre Director, Arena animation-Geeta Bhawan,Indore, said, “TASI event in Indore was very interesting as well as interactive. Mr.Vaibhav More of Vaibhav More Studios started with his Case Study on Animation for TV. He showcased and discussed various successful projects handled by him for clients including MTV, Zee TV, Channel V etc. He enthralled attendees with his 10+ viral animation promos created for “Love ka The End” movie of Yashraj films. Ranjit Singh(Tony ji) explained importance of Production management via his session. Two hours of Q&A session helped lot of students resolve their queries. We expected to increase awareness for the medium of animation. We also attempted to enlighten and educate the emerging generation.”
Around 30 students participated in Pixilation workshop conducted by TASI members. The TASI Members include Ranjit Singh(Tony), Vaibhav More, Yogi Chopra, Puneet Sharma & Ishtiyaq Quadri.
Further talking more about the event Yogi Chopra, one of the members from TASI team, said, “We want to reach out to as many cities as possible. In Indore we are expecting a high energy event with full house! Its only possible with partnerships like this”
Event provided a strong platform for information exchange and exposure towards animation industry. TASI team shared their rich experience in guiding students. Event not only helped existing talent but also encouraged and educated prospective learners. Event was well attended and participants remained intact till the end.TASI event was highly successful in providing a platform for exchange of creative and technical information within animation fraternity.
