Snoop Dogg and Eminem collaborate for new music video ‘From the D 2 the LBC’ advertising Bored Ape NFTs

The two legendary rappers, Snoop Dogg and Eminem, have come together for a single titled From the D 2 the LBC. They are proudly displaying their passion for their respective hometowns. The song is a tribute to the two cities they have represented throughout their careers: Long Beach, California, and Detroit, Michigan.

The video premiered on the last day of The Bored Ape Yacht Club’s (BAYC) annual event, which featured performances by various musicians like The Roots, LCD Soundsystem, Haim, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, and others. BAYC is a collection of unique 10000 Bored Ape NFTs. Both Snoop Dogg and Eminem are owners of Bored Ape NFT.

The song is a partially animated video, wherein both the rappers are hitting the studio for a track before turning into giant Bored Ape NFT avatars, it also gives a look and feel of comic book-style animation. The music video is a mix of live-action and animation, switching back and forth between these styles. The video has been directed by James Larese.

Both the rappers are known for investing in NFTs. Marshall Mathers III, popularly known as Eminem, bought an NFT for $462,000 from the OpenSea marketplace and joined the Bored Ape Yacht Club. In April, along with big celebrities like Justin Bieber, Bruce Willis, and Ashton Kutcher, Snoop Dogg was announced as a major investor in MoonPay, an on-and off-ramp service. In order to establish an NFT market, MoonPay also collaborated with Dogg’s Death Row Records.
