Angry Birds Summer Madness is the most recent series of the franchise. These shows are based on Rovio Entertainment’s iconic mobile game Angry Birds developed in 2009. The series landed on the OTT giant following their collaboration with Rovio and Cake, one of the world’s leading independent entertainment companies.
Since the creation of the original game, the team has developed many more offshoots. Among them are: Angry Birds Blast!, a balloon-bursting puzzle game; Angry Birds AR: Isle of Pigs, an augmented-reality adventure; and Angry Birds Match, a cute matching game. And as of 2019, Angry Birds games have been downloaded more than 4.5 billion times.
