Here’s something to look out for in the e-entertainment space. Ghaziabad based animation studio, Adibijustudio, a division of Amazination studio launched Praaji.com, an online 2D animated comic entertainment series early this year.
Inspired by Spanish cartoon series, Huevo and the American Joe animations, Praaji.com revolves around a not so bright ‘praaji’ who likes pretending to be so. The site has a number of webisodes and e cards with the star ‘praaji’ as the main character. The webisodes are based on popular praaji jokes along with a few that give social messages.
Aditya Dubey, Manager and Creative Director shared with Animation ‘xpress.com, “Looking at the growing popularity of the internet we decided to create an online animated comic series. We have worked on the character for over two years. We developed six different versions before finally coming up with this final character and most of our time was spent on deciding the funny concepts.”
“In course of time we plan on launching a clip a week and are also working currently on praaji comics other than the webisodes and e- cards. We hope that praaji will also soon be on television and one of the most popular animated cartoon series in the coming years.” He concluded.
Created by Aditya Dubey and Bijan Sammadar, praaji.com was conceptualized in Febraury 2004 same time as the duo established Adibiju studio as well. Aditya and Bijan have previously created animated promos such as ‘Inspector VJ’ and Antertainment for the channel [V] promo contest, with Amazination studios having worked on interactive CD Roms, illustrations for comics and web designing among others.
