Navi Mumbai International Film Festival (NMIFF) is all set to screen a series of films made by Indian and International film makers at Padmashree D.Y.Patil Auditorium, Navi Mumbai for continuous three days i.e. 31st January, 2nd February and 3rdFebruary 2014.
NMIFF is now accepting films in different categories like Features, Documentaries, Ad films, Shorts, Animations, Social awareness and Music videos. The registration fee for student films is INR 500, for professional films is INR 1500 and INR 2500 for feature films and the last for entries is 31st December 2013.
The time duration for animation, documentary and social awareness films should be 30 minutes or less. On the other hand, the duration for ad films must be just 1 minute or less.
Sharing about the mission of this fest to AnimationXpress.com, Sachin Khanna, Chairman, Navi Mumbai International Film Festival, says, “Through this fest, we aim at offering a platform that gives an exposure to young talent of interesting films made by Independent film makers and give a boost to parallel cinema as well”
Till date, NMIFF has received several animation films from UK, Switzerland, Germany, Hongkong,India and 175 films in other categories as well. The best films will be selected by Ashok Purang (Director of NMIFF) and other prominent directors from the film industry at this fest.
“The Award winning films will be judged on the basis of best creativity, script and good technical aspects.” adds more. Cash awards & Trophies will be handed over to the winners of the respective film categories.This fest has successfully promoted itself using varied social media platforms. Dhunki Productions, Jahazi Motion Pictures and New York Film Academy are some of the festival sponsor partners.
