Marvel releases animated short prequel for ‘Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ game

Scarlet Witch, Magik, and Wolverine were all featured in a video introducing the original Midnight Suns, which gave fans a glimpse at the characters in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

The second of five upcoming prequel shorts, titled A New Sun Must Rise, promises to provide players the history and story of the Marvel’s Midnight Suns universe. It revolves on Scarlet Witch, who looks for former X-Men member Magik in an effort to put together a squad. The two heroes eventually team together to fight the horde after Scarlet Witch discovers Magik engaged in combat with the undead. Unknown to Scarlet Witch and Magik, the Caretaker and Wolverine are lurking nearby, keeping watch on them while they fight, and are standing by to assist if either sorceress needs it.

The origins of Lilith, who serves as the main antagonist in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, were also covered in an earlier short, The Salem Sisters. It described Lilith’s life from the time she joined the Blood brethren in the late 1600s until she lost him to a sickness that ravaged Salem. Lilith made an agreement out of desperation with the being that lived within the pages of the Darkhold in an effort to prevent her kid from contracting the same disease.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will also have other adored Marvel superheroes as playable characters, such as Captain America, Iron Man, and Doctor Strange other than Scarlet Witch, Magik, and Wolverine. In addition, players will control the Hunter, a special and extremely adaptable character that may be equipped with a variety of abilities.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is slated to debut on 2 December for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In addition, Firaxis Games announced that an Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch version would be available in the future.
