The Students of MAAC Jayanagar had a pleasant suprise for the party goers at the dawn of 28th october in the form of a Flash mob show of Animation Characters in the Brigade Road Circle, as a perfect Celebration of World Animation Day. The First ever Flash mob of Animation Characters in India, drew a huge crowd and the show was so thrilling that the crowd demanded a repeat performance.
That was only the beginning of sterling performances. At Royal Meenakshi Mall in Bannerghatta Road, the show was very special as the characters entered the dance venue from the escalater and the crowd enjoyed the sudden emergence of their favourite Animation Characters.The shopping crowd rushed back to watch a very rare occasion. The dance to the popular tunes made the crowd cheer in excitement.
The Third Show was staged in the FORUM Mall, Koramangala at 2.30 P.m and the Flash mob show was a thumping success as the event was watched by thousands of people.The crowd enjoyed the show and looked excited.
The Fourth and the final show which took place near Jayanagar Shopping Complex was a grand event to watch as the Animation Characters reached the venue of the show, in a procession from the centre and the passers by were astonished and followed the procession in excitment. The show was a big hit as it drew the biggest crowd. The crowd couldn’t believe that their favourite characters came alive. That was a perfect curtain to multiple Flash mob shows.
Everywhere the crowd also danced to the tunes,took photographs with the characters , interacted with them and congratulated the team for staging such special shows. More than 10,000 people watched the shows and appreciated profusely. The students of MAAC Jayanagar exhibited their talents in such a way that they looked like professional dancers. They have mastered the steps in just 21 days. It was a committed effort by the students to stage sterling performances in four venues.Yes, we have made it!. They showed exemplary attitude and the management backed it. The outcome is an outstanding performance and a history is created.
28th october 2012 was a memorable day, four Flash mob shows were staged and MAAC’s presence has highlighted on the World Animation day. We got a good coverage in TV9 (kannada), news 9 (English), Public TV , Suvarna news, Samaya News and Janashree.In News 9 channel, they telecasted the event from 6am, every hour till 11pm in the night, covering all the 4 shows.
