ASIFA INDIA is back with its 12th International Animation Day, slated for the 28th October this year at Rangsharda Auditorium in Mumbai and to make this festival filled with a delightful bunch of creative films, ASIFA India has extended the participation deadline for ASIFA AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE to 30th September. The previous submission date for this competition was 14th September, but on huge public demand, ASIFA India has now extended the deadline to 30th.
One of the most happening and awaited competitions of our Indian Animation Industry, ASIFA India Awards of Excellence, started in 2002, is an annual awards ceremony established to recognize, appreciate and encourage animation talent and the best works happening in Indian animation.
Speaking to Animationxpress.com, about the competition, ASIFA INDIA shared,” The Awards of Excellence Competition has been one of the most exciting parts at IAD and its encouraging seeing entries pouring in every year, looking forward to some great entries this year too”.
Animated and VFX films from over the globe as well as India are invited for this year’s submission with the competition being divided into the categories of Student and Professional Films, where Students can submit 3D, 2D, Stop Motion, VFX Films whereas Professionals can make their mark with Animated and Vfx Short Films, Commercials, TV Episodes and Feature Films. Participating films must be completed in the time span of October 2011 to September 2012.

Participants of the ASIFA AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE will be judged by a coveted panel of industry stalwarts and the winners will be graced with the “ASIFA India Award of Excellence” trophy.
