Green Gold Animation Releases Chhota Bheem and the Throne of Bali in Mauritius

India’s Beloved Animated Character Chhota Bheem is going global!

Bali Bali Bali! Yes, now the auds at Mauritius will also groove into this tune and adventures of Bheem as Green Gold Animation’s 100 minute animation movie Chhota Bheem and The Throne of Bali has been unveiled at the big screens of Mauritius on 29th July.

Mauritius is not new to this action packed hero, as since many years, the television series on Chhota Bheem has been successfully running on MBC TV -Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation and resulted in the audiences wanting to see more of Chhota Bheem adventures.

Directed  by Rajiv Chilaka, Chhota Bheem and the Throne of Bali released in India 3rd May and became the second highest Hindi animated grosser under the original Indian Animation Category, collected a total of 4.5 crore in India and successfully played in theatres for a time span of 5 weeks.

Noteworthy marketing tie ups with leading brands have added to the success of this movie as McDonalds, IPL, Reliance Trends, Landmark, Microsoft, Usha International, Reynolds, GSK and many more were on their toes to create an aura for Chhota Bheem.

Speaking to AnimationXpress.com’s Zeenia Boatwala about the factors that influenced Green Gold to release the movie in Mauritius, Govinda Talluri, Vice President – Business Development, Green Gold Animation, says, “Chhota Bheem is already established as a kids leading favorite character with a fan following of over 40+ million kids and with the increase in demand for Chhota Bheem at Mauritius, we decided to release the movie for the local auds. “

At Mauritius, the movie is released in Hindi language and currently playing at Novelty Cinema. From Green Gold Animation, Sonia Singh-Marketing Head and Govinda Talluri played a pivotal role in getting the movie to big screens at Mauritius.

Adds more, “Mauritius being a small market we got this movie released in prime theaters and are expecting it to nab a good response.”

A flashback on the research undertaken for creating this movie brings to notice that for making the movie look perfect, the team at Green Gold spent six dedicated months for studying the ins and outs of Balinese Culture, Music, Dance and Food habits.

Green Gold doesn’t want to take a pause here as it believes that Chhota Bheem can win hearts of auds in every country and the breaking news is that they’ve already laid a plan for it and Govind happily shares this with us,

“We are currently working towards releasing this movie in other World markets including South East Asia and on a priority we are planning to release in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia, Middle East and North America.”

Presently, the studio is working on the 7th season in the Chhota Bheem Television series, which is in production stages and alongside are creating a bundle of TV movies based on the character. Not only this, but in line up are new licensing and merchandising plans that Green Gold would unveil very soon.
