Going by the kind of the work that the studio has been doing, it came without any surprise when Mumbai based Graphiti Mulitimedia stole the limelight at the RAPA awards winning two Awards, two years in a row.
The 31st Radio and Television Advertising Practioners’ Association Award, well known to most as the RAPA Awards were held on the 20th April 06. The Awards featured some of the best content from radio and television.
Graphiti’s winning bounty at RAPA included Best Animated TV series for J Bole toh Jadoo and best animated TVC for the Kellogs Nutrichamp Galaxy commercial.
Mujal Shroff, Director & COO, Graphiti Multimedia shared a few words with Animation ‘xpress, “The credit for this success goes to the fantastic team at Graphiti. This is the second year in a row that we have won the Best Animation Series for J Bole Toh Jadoo co-produced with Nickelodeon. The series has many firsts to its credit. It was the first Bollywood property (Jadoo from Koi Mil Gaya) crossing over to Television. It’s the first project of its kind that Nickelodeon has done in India. It is also the first show of its kind with top quality 3d animation with live action.”
J Bole toh Jadoo is about Jadoo and his friends who are from the planet Tarkopar and their experience on earth. The kellogg’s TVC stresses on the importance of good nutrition and the commercial features a young boy Vicki who challenges Crafty the Croc to a game of Spaceball – Basketball in Space.
