Yes, this is what the first phase of Experience India by Delhi based Gecko Animation Studio promises. It is a project in which virtual reality walk through will be developed for different States of India. Experience the reality with 3D animation which will take you thru‘ the Cultural Heritage of India.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com about the Virtual Reality Interactive walkthrough, Gecko Animation Studios‘ COO Taruna Ummatt shared, “Gecko‘s new product Experience India combines 3D animation and creativity with the diverse cultural heritage of India. This is an exciting way of utilizing 3D Animation for the purpose of knowledge and understanding of a country in better and interactive way. Experience India is a virtual experience for the people who are intending to explore India.”
This walk through can be played as a single player game and will be available in the form of interactive CD‘s through the channels like the Travel and Tourism Department and Software Companies, India and Abroad.
Taruna commented on the project, “We have selected Rajasthan as our first choice as we believe that it represents the dynamic India bringing out its culture and heritage. The USP of this walk through game is that anyone sitting in any corner of world, who wishes to understand India, especially those who are new to the country can get hold of any level of this product, which is associated with every State of India.
Adding further, Mahesh Kate Executive Director Gecko commented on the experience of the walk through, “In this demo phase, one can travel through Rajasthan, driving a virtual ambassador while exploring the Forts of Rajasthan, varied culture and folk music. Each aspect of the 3D walk through is typical of the region. This also provides necessary details of historic milestones and Rajasthan‘s glorious past.”
This project is being worked on by a team of more than ten artists headed by Creative Director Abhinandan Ghosh and Art Director Ratnadip and the first phase which is the walkthrough of Rajasthan is complete.
