French animation production and distribution company Dandelooo has announced a deal for several of its successful animated series.
The package deal finalised by the company’s international sales and acquisitions manager Melissa Vega sees Youku, an online video and streaming platform in China, acquire over 420 episodes for its kid’s channel Youku Kids.
Programmes in the deal include the preschool series Hungry Bear Tales, Our Piggy, Kiwi, Kosmix, Cubs and Pompon Little Bear.
Youku Kids international animation acquisition and IP investment head Shuhsin Cheng said, “We are excited to work with Dandelooo to bring its great content to Youku and China. Youku Kids provides young viewers with enriching and engaging content that broadens their global horizons, through captivating aesthetics, storytelling and creativity. We are looking forward to introducing more inspiring and diverse content to our young audience in China.”
