Entries for the 20th edition of Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival are now ope
n.Invited are filmmakers from around the globe to submit their films for this festival that takes place from 16-21 September at Bristol’s harbourside.
There’s an opportunity to showcase your work on the international stage, meet other creative’s and industry professionals, and the chance to win prestigious awards and cash prizes.
For 20 years, Encounters has showcased the films of emerging talent throughout the globe, providing audiences with a thriving setting in the heart of Bristol’s harbourside, with events aimed at film lovers. Encounters also provides filmmakers with a gateway to the world’s leading short film and animation awards, including BAFTA, Cartoon d’Or, the European Film Awards and the Oscars.
For this year’s festival, Encounters is looking for quality short films from around the world, under 30 minutes in length and from every genre, including animation, drama, documentary, experimental and music video. Encounters have partnered with Reelport, who will be dealing with this years online submissions.
The festival doesn’t have a premiere policy of films entered and they must have been completed after 1st January 2013.Submission dates are 28 March 2014 – Deadline for short films completed in 2013 and 16 May 2014 – Deadline for short films completed in 2014
