Eden Animation signs multi property deal with Argus Group, Russia

Eden Animation Studio has announced multi property Co Production Deal with a Russian Animation & Film Production Studio, Argus Group based in Moscow.

Chairman of Eden Group, Dinesh Jain shares that the co-production deal entered by ‘Eden Animation Studio’, INDIA and ‘Argus Film Studio’ RUSSIA is for production of one 3D feature length animated movie and one 3D TV series. The feature film is awarded coveted certification of ‘National Film of Russia’ by Russian Ministry of Culture.

Producer and CEO of Argus, Vladimir Repin informs that Argus and Eden will jointly work on the film with particular responsibilities. The script for the film is developed by extremely popular Russian author Alexander Kurliansky, who created the cultic animation series like “??, ??????!” (Well, just a moment), “Parrot Kesha‘s adventures” and to be directed by Alexey Kotyonochkin, Elena Chernova.

Argus Film Studio was founded in 1991 to produce and distribute movies. Currently, the “Argus” is a group of companies with presence in Russia and Germany. During last twenty years Argus has produced dozens of animated, documentary and feature films, over a hundred advertising films and spots, marked by many international and national awards, including, the Mike Gribble award at Animation Film Festival in Annecy, France for the animated film “It’s my life”, 2001, the award of the National Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, “Golden Eagle” for 2004 (an animated film “The Nutcracker”), “Silver Boat” film festival “Window to Europe” (animated film “Petrel”, 2005), the prize ‘The World‘s Best Works’ for the 2010 festival in New York City (TV film “The Pharmacist”) and many others.

Eden Animation Studio is one of the fastest growing studios currently producing over 11 animated long form projects based on original IPs for global audience. The studio is head quartered in city of Udaipur, INDIA. Eden is mostly into co production arrangements with studios from Europe, North and South America. Currently the studio is also developing own IPs with hugely recognized writers and creative consultants from USA.

Repin also shares that the feature film is targeted for all age group and based on a fantasy story and initially planned to be released worldwide during Christmas holiday in 2013 while the TV series production will commence in second quarter of 2013.

The film already has a very famous distribution partner for Russia and other CIS territories who also represent WB in Russia. The producers are currently in talk for Indian Sub-Continent and Worldwide distribution partners.
