MEDIYA, a sister concern company of CREATIVE MENTORS Pvt.Ltd is in the midst of conducting a 45 day online animation film fest to encourage the individual artists and creative talent from India. This 45-days national event will showcase variety of animation properties, from student films to blockbuster visual effects.
The contest started yesterday -10th July 2012 and the last date of submission will be 25th August 2012.
National Animation short fest is open to short films of all the forms and categories, May it animated short pieces that contains a significant percentage of computer-generated imagery and/or digital production which includes Computer Generated 2D/3D character animation, Traditional, stop motion, Cut out animation. Music Videos: Independent music videos that use any form of above mentioned animations or digital effects composed by own or copyright free music creative content. Visualizations and Simulations: Computer animations created to explain, analyze, or visualize information for applications including scientific research, architecture, engineering, systems simulations, education, and documentary projects. Student Projects: Computer-animated works of all kinds produced to satisfy a school, coursework, and/or graduation requirement. Entries in this category qualify for Best Student Project Award consideration.
Once the films are uploaded within the specified time, it can be eligible to show primary jury, from there the films would go to the final jury and winners will be announced through them at the time of MEDIYA launch (10th Sep 2012)
The honor and prize money for the winners will be as follows:-
Great dream worker The best project amongst all the projects will be selected apart from students film and will be awarded with the title of a Great dream worker and a
Prize money: Rs. 50,000/- (Fifty thousand rupees only).
Best dream worker
The second best project amongst all the projects will be selected apart from students film and will be awarded with the title of a Great dream worker and a
Prize money: Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty five thousand rupees only).
Young dream worker
The best project amongst all the students level films will be selected and will be awarded with the title of a Young dream worker and a
Prize money: Rs. 15,000/- (Fifteen thousand rupees only).
CREATIVE MENTORS is the main sponsor and Hollywood school of VFX and SHRESHTA will be co-sponsors for the fest. The entire fest is free of cost. The motto of the fest is to collect the artist’s database based on their skills, as MEDIYA being a consultancy firm they need to offer a right person to their clients as per their project requirement instead of collecting the data by regular demo reels or profiles.
