MICROSOFT GAME DEVELOPER DAY, Tuesday 26 September 2006

MICROSOFT GAME DEVELOPER DAY is being held for Singapore game development professionals interested in developing games for Windows, Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade platforms on 26 September 06 from 9am onwards at the Gallery Hotel 76 Robertson Quay, Singapore.

MICROSOFT GAME DEVELOPER DAY will be structured as a full-day seminar divided into 5 sessions delivered by speakers from Microsoft (USA) Game Technology / Developer Relations group. The programme for the day includes:

– Introductory session on overview of Microsoft’s game publishing and distribution strategy

– Development of games for the Xbox 360 platform, including details on Microsoft’s registered developer programme, how developers can get certified as Xbox 360 developers, submission process, evaluation criteria, technical criteria and how to qualify for an Xbox 360 Software Development Kit

– Development of casual games for distribution on Xbox Live Arcade online platform, including details on submission process, evaluation criteria, technical criteria, publishing/distribution and revenue share arrangements, billing system etc.

– Development of games for Windows Vista/XP platform XNA development tools for development on multiple Microsoft platforms (Windows, Xbox and Xbox 360)

The International Game Developers Association Singapore Chapter is a non-profit membership organization that advocates locally on issues related to digital game creation. The Singapore IGDA’s mission is to strengthen the Singapore game development community and effect change to benefit that community.
