Pixelloid’s work showcased at Festival of VFX 2006

Hyderabad based Pixelloid studio has gained international recognition. The making of the song ‘Amigo’ (VFX for which was created by Pixelloid) from the movie Oka V Chitram is being screened at the Festival Of Visual Effects on the 6th, 7th and 8th of July 2006. The festival is being held at the Spielberg Theatre in Hollywood.

Pixelloid is one of the few Indian VFX studios whose work has been recognized by the Visual Effects Society and will be screened along side work from Studios such as Cinesite (UK), N Design Japan.

Blockbusters such as Superman Returns and X-Men: The Last Stand; Cars, the latest animated feature from Pixar; and television fan favorite Smallville are some of the subjects for presentations at the 2006 Festival of Visual Effects.

Stalwarts including Academy Award winners Dennis Muren, John Myhre, Robert Skotak, Mark Stetson and many others are part of the workshops and panel discussions showcasing cutting-edge technological advances, historical achievements, strategic planning and forecasting for the future of visual effects in film, television, and animation.

The Visual Effects Society (VES) is one of the most renowned organizations in the entertainment industry that represents the full breadth of visual effects practitioners including artists, technologists, model makers, educators, studio leaders, supervisors, PR/marketing specialists and producers in all areas of entertainment from film, television and commercials to music videos and games.

Comprised of a diverse group of more than 1,300 members in 16 countries, the VES strives to enrich and educate its own members and members of the entertainment community at large through a multitude of domestic and international events, screenings and programs.
