The god of destruction is waking up, and Crunchyroll is making sure the new season goes off with a bang.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, an enhanced edition of the hit Dragon Ball Super anime, will begin streaming on Crunchyroll from 11 October as part of its fall 2026 anime lineup. The series will be available across the US, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The story picks up several years after the battle with Majin Buu, with Earth, a planet inhabited mainly by Earthlings, enjoying a rare spell of peace. Naturally, that peace does not last long.
Enter Beerus, the god of destruction, who awakens from a lengthy slumber with planetary destruction firmly on his agenda. Even the Kais, a high-ranking divine ruler and guardians who oversees regions of the universe, know better than to take his arrival lightly. When Beerus hears whispers about a Saiyan, a race of extraterrestrials, who defeated Frieza, a major galactic tyrant and the arch-nemesis of Goku, his curiosity leads him straight to Goku.
And that is when the universe really starts shaking. With Beerus setting his sights on Goku and Earth, the Saiyan and his allies are pulled into a cosmic clash that threatens to turn their world upside down. Expect divine power, Saiyan swagger and enough explosive action to give the phrase power-up a whole new meaning.
The original Dragon Ball Super anime, produced by Toei Animation, ran from 2015 to 2018 across 131 episodes. The franchise is also gearing up for Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, which was announced alongside Dragon Ball Super: Beerus at the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri, is a festive pun based on Goku’s finishing move, in January.
Crunchyroll already houses a hefty chunk of the franchise, streaming Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Daima.
