Audio series platform Pocket FM announced its integration with Amazon Alexa, making its exhaustive library of audio series available to Alexa customers in India.
With this launch, listeners can now enjoy Pocket FM’s long-form, episodic audio stories seamlessly across Alexa-enabled devices, such as Echo smart speakers and smart displays, simply by using voice commands. Alexa users can just say, “Alexa, start Pocket FM” to launch the audio storytelling experience. With India as the first market where this integration goes live, the launch marks an important step in Pocket FM’s journey to make audio storytelling more accessible and part of everyday life.
This Pocket FM and Alexa collaboration has been designed to experience audio storytelling effortlessly. Existing Pocket FM listeners can link their accounts on their Alexa app and continue listening exactly from where they last stopped. First-time listeners can discover genres, explore recommendations and start their preferred audio series right from the first episode. Multiple hours of free content can be accessed without account linking, while listeners are guided by Alexa to link or create a Pocket FM account when they choose to continue beyond paywalls, keeping the experience simple and intuitive.
“The future of storytelling will be shaped by how naturally it fits into everyday life. Voice-enabled access through Alexa adds that layer with continuity to long-form audio listening, allowing people to move seamlessly between devices without losing their connection to a story. Over time, this changes how audiences engage with audio, making storytelling more continuous and habitual,” said Pocket FM SVP and brand marketing and partnerships head Vineet Singh.
“Audio content is one of the most popular ways Indian customers engage with Alexa. By bringing Pocket FM’s extensive library of audio stories to Alexa, we are bringing more audio content options, making the overall entertainment experience enjoyable for every member of the household,” Alexa India country manager Teena Sidana.
Pocket FM’s complete content library is now accessible on Alexa, and aligned with Pocket FM’s free, subscription-based, and coin-based options. This collaboration also expands Pocket FM’s reach by engaging with Alexa customers in India who seek long-form audio storytelling experiences.
